Punchline (free) 03:31
Punchline Joshua Britt I'm afraid I'm gonna disappear If someone doesn't notice that I've been around for years I'm educated, but I can't find words to say If it doesn't happen then I might just fade away I don't know what it is that makes my head spin I just wanna see the light that's trying to get in But it takes so long And it's always a process And I can't find the patience When I reach the punchline When we all reach the punchline Let me deliver, let me deliver When I reach the punchline When we all reach the punchline Let me deliver, let me deliver When I was young I knew exactly what to be Surrounded by eccentrics, and it kept me on my feet But the brains I had went all to my head And left my words tangled, and darkened all I said I don't know what it is that fills my head with doubt I just wanna shine the light that's trying to get out But it takes so long And it's always a process And I can't find the patience When I reach the punchline When we all reach the punchline Let me deliver, let me deliver When I reach the punchline When we all reach the punchline Let me deliver, let me deliver

Tip of the Iceberg Zach Bevill I'm the tip of the iceberg afloat at sea I carry the weight but it's underneath You hear me sing, you don't see me bleed I hide it all in a melody Heart spread open wide, I let the water in Right before my eyes I fill it up again I'll do you right so don't do me wrong I'll sing you the words to your favorite song I'll tell you the story that we all belong I'll let you in if you won't stay long Heart spread open wide, I let the water in Right before my eyes I fill it up again I'll pick you up if you shoot me down Tomorrow will take me to another town But life is short and it's rarely found In the air you gotta hit the ground Heart spread open wide, I let the water in Right before my eyes I fill it up again

Little Boy 02:44
Little Boy Joshua Britt/Zach Bevill Oh little boy you are alone, but you don't understand That you can't become a man on your own What you need might be a girl to see the other half of the world Then you can be a man just like me The more you grow, the less you're gonna need me But the heart will break, and being a man's not easy, easy, believe me Days are short, some days are long but they come and go so fast And love won't always last but love is strong Brother don't be afraid if the sky is dark and grey A light will shine always for you and me The more you grow, the less you're gonna need me But the heart will break, and being a man's not easy, easy, believe me

Heart of a Slave Joshua Britt I went Sunday driving through our old town to see the change They won't take my memories no matter how they rearrange We always felt so innocent with our promises and doubts In the company of strangers we were all but straightened out Say won't you say how to make things right I've got the heart of a slave and I just can't fight Say won't you say how to make things right I've got the heart of a slave and I just can't fight The problem with our story is that it's told after the fact By the time we reach the end we're living in the past The home runs and the strikeouts run together on the page Even play-by-play descriptions always seem delayed Say won't you say how to make things right I've got the heart of a slave and I just can't fight Say won't you say how to make things right I've got the heart of a slave and I just can't fight I can feel your eyes they focus on my every flaw A life of imperfection's got me tied up in its jaws So if you see I'm buried tell my friends you heard my shouts I know that your love's the only way to get me out Say won't you say how to make things right I've got the heart of a slave and I just can't fight Say won't you say how to make things right I've got the heart of a slave and I just can't fight

We Go Together Joshua Britt Oh babe don't cry now We'll be ready soon somehow I can find a way for you to start being happy I've got too many dreams you see And I forget about you and me So I wrote you into my song, you're here in the words Oh we go together like vines I can wrap around your thorns, and you can climb mine Oh as strong as we can be, is never enough for me It's never enough for me I'm gonna pin my heart to your skin So it's home when I get lost again When I feel like the craziest boy in the world I need more than a memory With a thousand miles between you and me So I wrote you into my song, you're here in the words Oh we go together like vines I can wrap around your thorns, and you can climb mine Oh as strong as we can be, is never enough for me It's never enough for me I missed my stop again Your house flew by It was unforgettable It was unforgettable I'll come around again Your room to mine It was unforgettable So unforgettable It was unforgettable Oh we go together like vines I can wrap around your thorns, and you can climb mine Oh as strong as we can be, is never enough for me It's never enough for me

I've Had Enough Clayton Britt I just want to say hello to know that you are real My poor eyes are getting old and you seem so surreal I just can't seem to unwind You're always up there in my mind Taking what's not yours to find I've had enough I just wanted you to know my heart is made of steel My poor mind is getting old, without you it's unreal I just can't seem to unwind You're always up there in my mind Taking what's not yours to find I've had enough

A Bed of My Own Joshua Britt/Zach Bevill The last time that I looked up it was the middle of May Here I am in the August heat, believe me there's not much I can say For all the months I gave it, for all the times I saved it Keep your head down, keep the light out I don't want you to see me alone Keep your head down, keep the light out I'm sleeping in a bed of my own I don't believe in what you say when I see myself Cause every word takes a different turn, am I just another book on your shelf For all the times I loved you, for all the times I lost you Keep your head down, keep the light out I don't want you to see me alone Keep your head down, keep the light out I'm sleeping in a bed of my own Every time I look at the sun It's something that I've already done, I know it I'm lying in the bed that I made I'm lying in a love I could save Keep your head down, keep the light out I don't want you to see me alone Keep your head down, keep the light out I'm sleeping in a bed of my own

Words 04:58
Words Zach Bevill Words you say to me make my knees go weak Oh no, here they go And you know that you're right, but I won't see tonight Oh no, oh no Everyone I know is telling me the truth But I can't bite my tongue it's just no use I don't hear what's coming out The wicked words just fall out of my mouth I don't mean to shout I need a helping hand, for I am just a man I know, I know I'll fight the lie within, and pray that truth will win Oh no, oh no Everyone I know is telling me the truth But I can't bite my tongue it's just no use I don't hear what's coming out The wicked words just fall out of my mouth I don't mean to shout

Roses 02:56
Roses Joshua Britt/Zach Bevill I'll buy you roses, baby Write you a song Just to say forgive me baby I went on for far too long I said a few things baby I didn't mean to say I wanna be my own man baby Can't say things the same old way Roses, let us bloom for one more day Roses, before the petals fall away Our love is different baby Than all your friends The way you look at me Says words they'll never understand Let's find forgiveness baby Come in from the rain Dry your tears upon my sleeve And let love break away our chains Roses, let us bloom for one more day Roses, before the petals fall away Roll up your blue jeans babe Let your dark hair low Let's dance our blues away real slow I wanna be your lover baby I don't wanna be your friend Let's fill our hearts with love again I'll buy you roses, baby Write you a song Just to say forgive me baby I went on for far too long Roses, let us bloom for one more day Roses, before the petals fall away Roses, let us bloom for one more day Roses, anything to make love stay

You Were There Joshua Britt/Zach Bevill I've got that feeling again Like I just can't win It never goes away Looks like its here to stay I've tried everything and every way I've said everything I was too shy to say But that's too easy It's much too easy It didn't work that way So I turned to someone else Someone I couldn't see To guide everything and bring it all to me But that's too easy It's much too easy It didn't work that way But you were there everyday You were there everyday And it gives me faith to say That I need you I've watched my world crumble into dust I've been buried in the mud of greed and lust It's never easy It's never easy To go against your ways So you're a friend for every single thing you do Just another soul who's got my problems too It's never easy It's never easy To listen to the truth But you were there everyday But you were there everyday And it gives me faith to say That I need you I tried to do it on my own I tried to make it all alone But here I stand, a broken man, I'm home

Common Ties 03:01
Common Ties Joshua Britt/Zach Bevill When the colors of the rainbow fall in line with the sun And the water on the pavement has nowhere to run They are two but the same, they're the remnants of the rain The storm is gone, the storm is gone When the lights in the city flicker on along the street And the stars in the country shine like diamonds on her feet They are two but the same, oh the sun is gone again The nights is here, the night is here There's darkness and light, uh huh There's wrong and right But the common ties that bind are stronger than the lines we draw When nothing in your life seems to fall into place And a stranger finds the beauty in every single face They are two but the same, oh there's no one to blame Just let it be, let it be There's darkness and light, uh huh There's wrong and right But the common ties that bind are stronger than the lines we draw When a man finds his peace and he draws his last breath And a mother holds a baby for the first time to her breast They are two but the same, oh the life goes on again Oh it begins, oh it ends There's darkness and light, uh huh There's wrong and right But the common ties that bind are stronger than the lines we draw

about

"Members of this generation are called Echo Boomers, due to the significant increase in birth rates through the 1980s and into the 1990s, and because many of them are the children of baby boomers" - wikipedia.com

These songs were lovingly recorded at House of David and Mr. Lemons Studio in Nashville, TN using the finest state-of-the-art microphones including Bob Hope's old desk mic and an 80's tape recorder (aka Gnarls). The band recorded together live in one room in order to capture the energy and life of their music. The use of authentic spring reverb was employed. Sometimes the band went old school and sang all five parts together around one microphone.

Inspired by our parents' music, we are creating our own. Welcome to the Echo Boom
